Making of "Das Nibelungenlied"

Qualche immagine dal making of del libro Das Nibelungenlied realizzato per la ELI Readers. Per l'ideazione dei personaggi e l'impostazione delle tavole ho unito insieme svariati riferimenti estetici.
Il principale sono stati i meravigliosi film di Fritz Lang - Die Nibelungen: Siegfried e Die Nibelungen: Kriemhilds Rache - dai quali ho preso grande spunto per i protagonisti.

Mentre per l'impostazione delle tavole ho ricercato nelle illustrazioni dei codici medievali ed in particolare dal Chronicon Pictum, manoscritto ungherese del 1300 che narra le vicende della storia d'Ungheria e di Attila (protagonista anche lui del Nibelungenlied).

27 artisti sono stati invitati ad esporre 2m quadrati di opere a testa, ognuna di queste opere dovrà essere originale e vendibile ad un prezzo massimo di 50 euro.

Le opere saranno esposte ovunque...anche in posti impensabili

La vendita è cash and carry! Chiunque può staccare l'opera dal muro e portarsela a casuccia senza aspettare la fine della mostra.

Das Nibelungenlied

Alcune tavole realizzate per "Das Nibelungenlied" ovvero "i Nibelunghi", libro di narrativa in tedesco, adattamento dell'originale poema epico, realizzato per la casa editrice ELI Readers. La pubblicazione è prevista per la prossima primavera.

Some boards made ​​for "Das Nibelungenlied" or the Nibelungs, a book of fiction in German that I did for the publishing house ELI Readers. It will be published next spring.

The Missing Link Project

This strange monster is part of the PICTOPLASMA'S MISSING LINK PROJECT , an installation of 500 selected monsters that will take place at the gallery La Gaîté Lyrique during the Pictoplasma Festival in Paris

Pictoplasma is a Berlin based festival about contemporary international character design and figurative art. For the first time the festival take place in Paris from December 7 to 31.

I think it will be hard to find my monster among other 500 characters, but it's worth going to see the festival.

Workshop di illustrazione

A partire dal 28 novembre terrò un workshop di illustrazione all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Frosinone. Per quattro lezioni i ragazzi del corso di illustrazione 1 tenuto da Marcella Brancaforte, e quanti altri fossero interessati tra gli studenti dell'accademia, svilupperanno insieme a me un progetto di comunicazione.

From November 28, I will lead a workshop about illustration at the Fine Arts School in Frosinone. For four lessons I will develop a communication project with the students of the illustration's class direct by Marcella Brancaforte.




I ragazzi del corso di Illustrazione 2 e 3 avranno invece la fortuna di seguire un workshop con Antonello Silverini.

Making of "Welcome To The Garden"
